Jaipur Literature festival is Asia's leading literature event. Jaipur literature festival is held in a beautiful heritage property, Diggi Palace. Queen Mother of Bhutan Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck (in yellow dress) also attended inauguration day of Jaipur Literature festival 2012.

Queen mother of Bhutan Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck was born on December 20, 1955. Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck is the first wife of King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the Fourth King of Bhutan.

The Queen Mother of Bhutan Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck is a keen supporter of literary works. She is a renowned author. She is well known for her writing “Rainbows and Clouds” a story of Yab Ugen Dorji (the Queen’s Father). “Rainbows and Clouds” is considered as a literary detail of Bhutanese culture, history and society. Her another book “Treasures of the Thunder Dragon – A Portrait of Bhutan” is a wonderful travelogue of Bhutan.

In Jaipur Literature Festival 2012, Queen Mother of Bhutan attended various sessions on Friday, Jan 20, 2012 and stayed in the festival for the whole day. She also addressed the press in Jaipur Literature Festival 2012.
