Jaipur Photos: Folk Dance Kachhi Ghodi

Kachhi Ghodi dance is a folk dance of Rajasthan in which a male dancer wears a dummy horse like underwear and then dance. This dance was performed by the villagers of Rajasthan to honor and celebrate the victory of Rajput King and soldiers when they return back from the war.

Kachhi Ghodi (dummy horse) represented the real horses of the soldiers used during war. The dancers performed musical dance drama to please and honor them by sung their praise and stories of bravery and dance on these folk songs.
