Jaipur is the land of various artwork, unique crafts, festivals and religious activities. It is obvious to find the amalgam of all these in the culture, lifestyle and celebrations of Jaipur. Ganesha's incarnation day or birth day is celebrated every year in Jaipur at a grand level like other festivals. This festival is known as Ganesh Chaturthi festival. Generally, this festival comes in the last of August or starting of September. Jaipurites make huge idols and sculptures of God from various materials and decorate them with excellence. They use their unique and creative arts and craft ideas up to the extremes. After all, festivals and incarnation day of various Lords mean a lot in everybody's life.

A long procession rally get organized in Jaipur on the occasion of Lord Ganesha's incarnation day in which accoutrement of decorated elephants, horses and camels participate. Beautiful tableaux of Lord Ganesha also get prepared by Jaipurites for this procession. Devotees sing the religious songs and dance. Millions of domestic and foreign tourists visit Jaipur to witness this procession of Lord Ganesha of Hindu religion.

जयपुर कला, शिल्प, रंग-बिरंगे त्यौहारों और विविध धार्मिक गतिविधियों की भूमि है. ऐसे में जयपुर की संस्कृति, जीवन शैली और विभिन्न उत्सवों में जयपुर के कला और शिल्प का अद्भुत मिश्रण पाया जाना कोई आश्चर्य की बात नहीं है. जयपुर में गणेश चतुर्थी का उत्सव भी अन्य उत्सवों की ही तरह बहुत धूम-धाम से मनाया जाता है.

गणेश चतुर्थी के अवसर पर जयपुर में एक भव्य और विशाल शोभायात्रा का आयोजन किया जाता है. इस शोभायात्रा में सजे-धजे हाथियों, घोड़ों और ऊँटों का शाही लवाजमा भी साथ चलता है. जयपुर के लोग बड़ी श्रद्धा और लगन से भगवान गणेश की सुन्दर प्रतिमायें बनाते हैं और इसमें अपनी कला और शिल्प का ऐसा जादू बिखेरते हैं कि यह शिल्प बस देखते ही बनता है. तभी तो हर साल इस शोभायात्रा को देखने दूर-दूर से देशी-विदेशी सैलानी बड़ी संख्या में जयपुर आते हैं.
